Pray Before You Say

What have you been speaking life into in this season? Moreover, what have you been speaking death into? Your words carry the power to bring life to a situation or death to It.

Now, I want you to take a moment and think, what have you been releasing verbally lately? Life or Death?

God has given you the authority to change your situation through the power of your words. Proverbs 18:21 says, "The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”

This past weekend our Tier 3 Gatekeepers graduated from intercessory school and an amazing nugget given by our guest speaker Apostle Torrey Harper was, “pray before you say.” Before you declare a thing dead, pray! Before you give up, pray! Many times as children of God we get spiritual amnesia and forget how mighty God is and has been all throughout our lives.

When you pray and communicate with God he will give you tools to speak life and see life come to your situation. As intercessors and children of the Most High, we have the mantle to pray and speak life and see things come to pass. Matthew 18:18 says, “Whatever you bind on earth is bound in heaven, whatever you loose on earth is loosed in heaven.” God says if we pray and decree life to a thing it will grow and whatever you bind (because you have the authority of your Father) it will also be bound in heaven.

God has given you all this authority but intercessor are you using it? When situations go left, are you swayed by the cares of life or do you begin to speak life? I want to implore you to pray before you say anything about your situation.

Now, what does this look like practically?

Before you declare that you are sick, speak life and healing over yourself. Remember God’s promises for you and your life God has given you tools. Use your tools! I want to encourage you to pray and even speak God’s word over it before you speak death. As intercessors, God has given authority to our prayers and life and death to our tongue.
